In this project, the objective was to open up and improve the flow between spaces while preserving the authentic character of the property.
The partition separating the kitchen from the breakfast room was removed to create both visual and functional continuity. This intervention significantly enhances the perception of space and avoids excessive compartmentalisation, particularly given the presence of the existing glass partition, which already helps structure the volumes.
The kitchen was entirely redesigned and custom-made, combining elegance with a timeless aesthetic. It follows a neo-Provençal / character home style, blending traditional codes with contemporary lines. The understated beige fronts interact with noble materials and refined details, bringing softness and brightness to the space.
The central feature of the project is the bespoke island, conceived as a statement piece. Finished in a deep burgundy tone, it creates a deliberate contrast with the rest of the kitchen. Its curved base gives it a sculptural presence and a unique identity, somewhere between a reinterpreted classic piece and a contemporary design.
In the living and dining areas, the layout was completely reworked to create a warm and cohesive atmosphere. The volumes were rebalanced, circulation simplified, and the furniture enhanced within a more harmonious composition.
Overall, the project highlights a subtle renovation approach, where each intervention aims to reveal the existing charm while bringing comfort, functionality, and elegance.
